Terms of use.

These terms describe how you may use the XMR ROOTS website and its interfaces. Read them alongside the risk disclosure before launching a coin, trading or making a payment.

1. The ROOTS service

ROOTS provides interfaces to token launches, markets, fee distribution, Monero transfers, a private vault and ROOTS Pay. Transactions depend on the relevant blockchain programs and external services. A listing is not an endorsement of a token, its creator or its prospects. ROOTS is independent of the Monero Project, pump.fun, Raydium and other providers mentioned on the site; their names identify dependencies, not partnerships or approval.

2. Your wallet and instructions

Review the network, destination, amounts, minimum received and fees before approving a transaction. You are responsible for the accounts you control and for safeguarding passwords, seed phrases and encrypted backups. Blockchain transactions generally cannot be reversed by ROOTS. Never disclose a secret to someone claiming to provide support. Use the official links on this site.

Some automated operations are performed by dedicated keeper or relayer wallets. Bridge and gift-card providers operate their own systems. These services have different custody and recovery arrangements from a transaction signed directly in your wallet.

3. Launches, fees and distributions

The launch venue, selected reward mode and onchain configuration determine the applicable charges and routing. Network, venue, swap, bridge, preparation and account-creation costs may apply in addition to distributed creator fees. A percentage of a distributed fee is not the same as a percentage of trade value. Read the transaction review and documentation for the route you use.

At this update, closed community coins in the principal ROOTS program allocate distributed creator fees 40% to the selected reward destination, 25% to ROOTS buyback and burn or direct ROOTS burn, and 35% to shared liquidity. LaunchLab uses a separate 40% / 25% / 25% / 10% allocation for rewards, buyback, liquidity and treasury. The official ROOTS token has its own creator-fee routing to treasury. These routes must not be treated as one universal fee schedule.

Creator, Holders and Monero General Fund are different destinations. Check the destination stored for a coin rather than relying on its name or description. A reward selection does not guarantee income, price support or a particular payment date. Claims, conversions and distributions can depend on balances, minimum amounts, network costs and available services.

4. Holder snapshots and General Fund payments

Holder distributions use keeper-generated snapshots and eligibility rules, including the current minimum holding value and excluded accounts. Holding tokens does not guarantee inclusion in every snapshot. Prices and holdings change; small shares can be deferred when payment costs make them impractical. Check published snapshot records and transaction receipts to verify a payment.

General Fund allocations can accumulate and be combined before a bridge withdrawal is practical. An allocation, a Solana transfer to escrow and a confirmed Monero payment are distinct stages. ROOTS does not represent the Monero General Fund. Totals that include one-off donations should not be interpreted as wholly generated by creator fees.

5. Liquidity and retired reserves

Deposits into the shared ROOTS/wXMR pool and burns of newly minted liquidity-provider tokens do not give an individual community-token holder ownership of that pool or a right to withdraw its assets. Shared liquidity is not a redemption guarantee. Burn-to-redeem is permanently closed for the retired coins and unavailable for new coins configured closed. Historical reserves were closed and transferred to the configured treasury through owner-signed transactions; they were not all deposited into liquidity.

6. Administration and upgrades

The principal ROOTS program remains upgradeable and uses an operator-controlled authority. The private vault is a separate program with a Squads-controlled authority. Do not assume that every ROOTS component has the same controls. Administrators may exercise the powers allowed by the relevant deployed program, including available pause, configuration and upgrade operations. Keeper delegation and execution budgets limit particular operations; they do not eliminate operator, software or key-compromise risk. Consult protocol status and onchain accounts for current controls.

7. Monero, the private vault and ROOTS Pay

wXMR is a token on Solana, not native Monero. Bridge quotes, confirmations, minimums and withdrawal conditions depend on the provider. Keep the correct transfer reference and follow the current deposit instructions. Do not reuse an expired address or quote.

Private-vault recovery requires your own usable backup and its unlocking credentials. An encrypted backup is not useful if you lose the information needed to decrypt it. A paused buying interface does not imply that existing notes have been sold or recovered.

ROOTS Pay orders depend on product availability, region restrictions, payment confirmation and supplier fulfilment. Check the product's redemption conditions before paying. Refund or replacement possibilities depend on the order's state, supplier conditions and applicable mandatory consumer rights. Payment in Monero does not make an email address, delivery record or supplier account anonymous.

8. Permitted use and availability

Illegal use. Any unlawful use of ROOTS is prohibited, including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and evasion of applicable sanctions.

Sanctions restrictions. You must not use ROOTS if you are a person or entity subject to applicable sanctions, act on behalf of such a person or entity, or access the service from a country or territory where applicable sanctions prohibit its provision. Circumventing these restrictions is prohibited. Sanctions may target specific persons, entities, activities or territories rather than every resident of a country; consult the current official lists and restrictions applicable to you and the service, including the UN sanctions regimes and, where applicable, the EU Sanctions Map.

Use the service only where you are eligible and permitted to do so. You are responsible for applicable legal and tax obligations. Do not use the interfaces to defraud others, distribute unlawful material, attack services or interfere with other users. Interface access or listings may be restricted; removing a listing does not remove a blockchain token.

Features, APIs and external services can change, pause or become unavailable. Displayed figures may lag the chain. No uninterrupted availability, market value, reward rate or successful third-party fulfilment is promised. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you bear the risks of your use; nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

9. Updates and contact

Changes to these terms will be dated on this page. Review the current version before using a changed feature. For project enquiries, use @xmrroots on X. Never send a seed phrase, private key or backup passphrase.
